

Emap sells Period Living and Traditional Homes mag 19 January 2006 12:18
Centaur pays £1.5m for the titleEmap has sold Period Living and Traditional Homes magazine and website to Centaur in a deal worth £1.5m.
The title has a circulation of 55,337 (ABC January to June 05) and is Emap's only publication in the sector.
Marcus Rich, director, Emap Consumer Media, said: "We believe that the magazine and website will have a firmer future within a company that has a number of interests in the home market."
Graham Sherren, chairman and chief executive, Centaur, said: "We are pleased to be able to add Period Living and Traditional Homes to our portfolio of specialist home-interest brands based around the leading title, Homebuilding and Renovating.
"We believe that there will be a number of complementary benefits to be derived from the acquisition and we look forward to investing further in PL to strengthen the magazine and to extend the brand into other media. This acquisition, as was the case with our recent acquisitions of Supply Chain Business, Logistics Europe and The Recruiter, reflects our strategy of seeking to develop market-leading positions in key communities."
