First issue will have a massive circulation of three millionCondé Nast has won the contract to publish a customer magazine for the Post Office - a title that will have one of the highest circulations in the UK. The initial pilot of the lifestyle magazine will have a print run of three million and will be available from selected Post Office branches nationwide. Sky's customer magazine has an ABC-audited figure of 6,783,581 (January to June 2005) and leads the market. Asda's equivalent is in second place with a circulation of 2,631,293. The Post Office is hoping its new title will ensure its customers are aware of and understand the range of services on offer in branches. The pilot magazine will be published by the contract division of Condé Nast, with the content of the 68-page A5 publication developed using feedback from Post Office customers. Over 28 million people visit their Post Office each week. Crispin Beale, head of the Post Office's customer research team, said: "We chose Condé Nast as it was clear they fully understand the needs of the Post Office and our customers. Our customers have told us they would like to receive more information on the full range of services we offer - something we intend to provide through working with Condé Nast to produce an informative and truly customer-focussed magazine." Clare Dove, publisher for the Condé Nast contract publishing division, said: "The Post Office operates the UK's largest retail network so it's exciting to be working together on such an important and far-reaching project. We are delighted that they have given us the opportunity to reinforce the position of the Condé Nast contracts division as a major player within the customer publishing arena."
