FT promotes Grimshaw to global role

Newly created position for former EMEA ad chiefThe Financial Times has appointed Rob Grimshaw to the newly created role of head of global advertising strategy and operations. Grimshaw, previously head of advertising strategy for the EMEA region, will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the FT's advertising strategy and operations worldwide, both in print and online. He will report to world advertising director Ben Hughes, who said Grimshaw's remit was "to manage the increasing complexity of the FT's multimedia portfolio". The move sees Grimshaw join the advertising senior management team, after seven years at the company. By Pip Brooking
