Total Film launches new website
18 October 2005 12:10

Contains archive of all the reviews ever printed in the magFuture's Total Film magazine has launched a new website that contains an archive of all the reviews the print product has published since its launch in January 1997. It also carries daily movie news, competitions, reviews of the latest movie and DVD releases and a forum. Future is planning a second phase of development for the website, due to launch in 2006. Simon Maxwell, the publisher of Total Film, said: “The launch of www.totalfilm.com is an exciting part of our ongoing development. Movies are a highly visual medium and lend themselves well to the internet, thanks to mass penetration of broadband connections. The website allows the Total Film team to interact with readers and will enable us to build on the current sales success of the magazine. “The Total Film website will instantly make our brand more recognisable globally and gives us a strong online platform to build on - with some exciting new developments planned for the new year. The website is also an excellent opportunity to further boost our relationship with key advertising partners and the film industry itself.” David Maher Roberts, the new media publishing director at Future, said: "Future's new media strategy is mainly focused on capturing the attention of enthusiasts in the entertainment, gadgets and technology sectors and the addition of www.totalfilm.com to our stable of sites has broadened our offering to consumers and advertisers alike."
